My name is Bethany Martens and I am a stay at home mom of five small children ranging between 9 and 1 month old. I started No More Bummers soon after switching my children to cloth diapers.I first showed interest in cloth diapers after having my second baby.My sister-in-law had used them part time with her son and I remember asking her about them; however the response was over whelming.I suddenly found myself in a conversation about more than the cloth pre-folds with pins and rubber pants that my Mom diapered my little butt in.I quickly decided this was far too much of an investment for something I didn’t even know if I would like or not.So I tabled that idea for two years.
Then baby #3 came along and I considered them again once more but soon remembered where it led last time and didn’t give it another thought, after all this was my “last” baby and what is another 2 years of buying diapers, right?Well, then I found out I was expecting 1 more.I knew then that was it!I had been buying diapers for 6 years straight, sometimes having two in diapers at a time, my second child suffered from allergies (only to find out after the fact disposables were probably not helping that), and I knew my family alone was contributing to more than its fair share of landfill space. So I went out there and got a crash course in cloth diapers.I learned about pre-folds, and fitted, AIO and pockets, contour and covers, and even the wool vs. every other kind of cover out there! This left me over whelmed once more.So I tried them all, a few kinds here and few brands there… making me wonder what I got myself into, not really liking them at first but out too much money to go back, to ending up loving them and wondering how I ever lived without them!
I did finally find just the right diapers that worked for me and my baby but only after several tries and lots of money later. This is why I decided to start No More Bummers!I wanted a way to introduce Moms new to cloth diapers to all the different choices out there. We help you try and find just the right diaper set up for you and your little one.So you can make a wise investment in something you are not only going to use but love as well!
