Stripping Diapers

My Monkey Doodle diaper has been used for about 2 months now. I have only washed it regularly with the other diapers with Charlies soap. I am now experiencing that when my daughter wets the diaper, it has an instant pungent smell to it. It's really noticable. I am used to no smells when she wets. How can I properly strip the residue that might be causing the smell from my Monkey Doodle diaper?
Thanks!

I usually strip all my diapers about every two - three months depending of when/if they need it. What I find to be the easiest route instead of washing them all by "hand" is I put a drop of dawn dish soap on each diaper and rub together and then drop it in the wash machine and then run the load as usual. I don't add any additional soap when I do this and wash in hot water. You can also try adding some lemon juice to the wash which may help as well.

This smell can happen sometimes when vinegar is used too much or too often. The smell really bothers my husband but doesn't bother me as much.
